On Monday, I just needed a day to regroup, do some things at home, and I actually went to the grocery store! The meal planning is constant, as we all know. At breakfast, we are figuring out lunch, at lunch, we are deciding on dinner. The boys were happy to be on their computers most of the day. We have been on the go since G got here and they really like their down time at home.
I also made dinner tonight, lasagna, one of the few things I can do pretty easily. I only mention this because Scott does 99% of the shopping and cooking. I thought I would be nice and give Scott a break from shopping & cooking. Plus, I was out of ice cream ;) wink wink. G loves root beer and they do not have it in France. For dessert, I decided to make them root beer floats. My only photo of the day...Jack eating his dessert.
We watched a short surfing documentary with G's favorite surfer, Kelly Slater.
Then a surfing movie, Drift, that we all really enjoyed. I think it's important for us to show an interest in things that G enjoys doing. It opens our minds up to new things and it helps us connect with him.

After that, we did a quick trip to the Mall to hit Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and the Apple Store. By then it was pouring rain, thunder and lightening.
Scott made a nice pasta dinner with chicken and broccoli and now the boys are watching How To Train Your Dragon. Scott and G figured out that they both like horror movies...they stayed up and watched one when the kids went to bed.

So we headed out to the movies today...the kids continued on last night's theme with How To Train Your Dragon 2. I decided to see "Tammy" a chick flick completely inappropriate for kids. Both movies started and ended at about the same time.
When I went into the theatre I was the only one in there. That was fine with me, except, at the appointed time, nothing started. Most movies theaters are pretty prompt and there was no one in the projectionist area. I figured I would go see what was going on and when I came out I realized I was in the wrong theatre! Oh well, I eventually found the right one!
I'm done with this rainy, humid weather. The next few days look nice and we have a lot on our plates so stay tuned...

The weather forecast is spotty today and the next couple of days. We headed out this afternoon for some Cosmic Candlepin Bowling. What is candlepin bowling? I finally found something that I was better at than the boys! G is inspiring me to take more videos. I love seeing my kids in action instead of always in a still photo. The movies he is making will be great mementos of our time together. His GoPro battery was dead so I took some video on my camera and I finally get to tell my side of the story!
