The skies cleared and we went to the beach with our friends, Drew & Sofia. On Plum Island is the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge which was established in 1942 primarily to provide feeding, resting, and nesting habitats for migratory birds. Located along the Atlantic Flyway, the refuge is of vital stopover significance to waterfowl, shorebirds, and songbirds during migratory periods.
The kids found a stick and used some wood that was piled around and fashioned it into a golf hole.
G, Jack & Sofia spent most of the afternoon in the water.
G was back in the waves capturing some excellent photos inside the waves.
Here is G's video from today...it's pretty cool!
And here is my video of the day...
Scott picked a ton of green beans out of the garden tonight and found a great recipe for them. I was not a huge fan of beans, but after tonight I am. This might be his secret recipe...not sure, but give it a try and serve with a nice, juicy steak. Any of my local friends reading this...we have lots of beans...come pick your own!
